Next Thursday, the Orange County Affordable Housing Coalition and NEXT are hosting the first of two local election campaign forums. The first is for Chapel Hill and the second is for Carrboro, which will occur the following Monday.

We recently wrote about the coalition here, and are excited for them to be providing opportunities for candidates to share their thoughts and visions on issues related to housing. Chapel Hill is down one candidate with Jon Mitchell withdrawing from the race. We have heard, but not yet confirmed that in Carrboro that Mayor candidate Joe Lloyd has withdrawn from the race (his name still is listed on the BOE election site)
