Orange County Voting dates and location s
Early Voting Schedule

Early voting for both local and a few state offices begins this week. Look at the graphic above for locations and dates and times for where and when you can vote.

Offices up for grabs for most Chapel Hill and Carrboro voters:

  • County Commissioners
  • Sheriff
  • Register of Deeds
  • US House seat NC-04
  • NC Court of Appeals Judge Seat 3

Here is a sample ballot you can check for Chapel Hill and Carrboro Residents. People who live outside city limits will get a slightly different ballot to include a different County Commissioners seat. You can get your copy at the North Carolina Board of Elections Website. Just look up your name, and you will see either a Democratic or Republican ballot (or both if you are unafilliated).

Note: Since this is a primary, you will not see all of these candidates. If you select a Democratic ballot, you will see democrats. Likewise if you choose a Republican ballot. Not all races will appear if only one candidate from a party has filed. Always check the State BOE website and search for your name to see the ballot YOU WILL receive to know exactly who you may vote for.
