Launched in 2007 through a partnership between the Chapel Hill – Carrboro Public School Foundation (PSF) and the East Chapel Hill Rotary Club, the annual Teacher Supply Store supports teachers in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS). On average, teachers spend $750 of their own money each year to purchase classroom supplies.
This pop-up store helps ease that burden by allowing CHCCS teachers to “shop” for essential supplies at no cost. It’s one small but meaningful way we show our appreciation for all that they do. “It’s a very tangible, outward expression of our gratitude to teachers. This is so timely right now with budget cuts that schools are facing.” said Chapel Hill-Carrboro Public School Foundation Executive Director Madeline Blobe.

This year, we are collecting supplies at the following locations now thru August 11th. There will also be a Stuff the Bus Event at Staples on August 9th 9AM-2PM where supplies are loaded into our PSF Bus.
You can help! Donate supplies at any of these local Partners in Education by August 11:
