Recently, an uninsured driver collided into the back of the Triangle BikeWorks trailer. This incident interrupted their work to introduce kids across our area to the joys of biking.
The trailer needs to be replaced before summer, when their efforts kick up and they hit the road for their longer bike rides. Here is a message from Kevin Hicks, their founder:
As you might remember, our beloved trailer was tragically destroyed by an uninsured and distracted driver. This trailer was more than just a piece of equipment; it was the backbone of our adventures, helping us transport bikes and gear for our youth programs. Without it, our ability to inspire and empower young cyclists has been significantly hampered.
We’re now in urgent need of a new trailer to continue our mission. This is where you come in. Your generous support can make a world of difference. By contributing to our trailer fund, you’re not just helping us replace a vehicle; you’re investing in the future of our community’s youth. Every dollar brings us closer to getting back on the road and making a positive impact.
Please consider making a donation today. Together, we can overcome this setback and keep the wheels turning for Triangle Bikeworks.

What is Triangle Bikeworks?
Founded in 2010 by Kevin Hicks, under the name Spoke’n Revolutions, Triangle Bikeworks has focused on giving Black and Brown youth opportunities to engage in long, challenging, cross country bike trips that visit historic destinations of relevance to the history of people of color. Countless youth have graduated from the program since the beginning.
What does the trailer provide?
The trailer is needed to transport bikes and equipment to training and practice rides throughout the Triangle, which prepare participants for their long summer trip. Please consider helping.
