There are reports of another armed and dangerous individual on or near the UNC campus. Many of us work, study, and teach at UNC. Twelve minutes before we received the Alert Carolina telling us to go inside and stay away from windows, we received a feedback form asking how the response to the shooting two weeks ago could have been improved.

We hear sirens and a helicopter flying overhead. Davis Library was partially cleared. We just read a social media post that said “The amount of chronic anxiety these shootings have given me is insane.” We cannot continue to live like this.

Update 2:10. Just got a text from Alert Carolina! “All Clear. All clear. Resume normal activities.”

How are we supposed to resume normal activities?
