Theodore Nollert

Theodore Nollert was elected to the Town Council in 2023. He originally moved to North Carolina to pursue a PhD in Early Modern English Literature at UNC Chapel Hill, where he led a successful campaign to secure the largest ever one-time pay raise for graduate employees as the President of the Graduate and Professional Student Government.

Theo is currently the Policy Director at Carolina Forward, a think tank dedicated to creating a more fair, free, and affordable North Carolina. Prior to joining Carolina Forward, he was the statewide Campus Turnout Director for the North Carolina Democratic Party in 2024.
