Tuesday, November 5 is Election Day. On Election Day, you must bring a photo ID with you and you must vote at your assigned polling place. Every year, people show up at the wrong polling location. So we made a helpful guide to finding your polling place in North Carolina.

How to find your polling place in North Carolina

1. Visit the North Carolina Board of Elections Voter Search Tool. It looks like this:

2. Type in your name and select your county. Then click “Search.”

3. Click on your name. You should see your address at the top, following by sections called Voter Details, Jurisdictions, Voting Locations, and Sample Ballot.

4. Scroll down to Your Voting Locations. That will give you the address of the place where you will vote tomorrow.

5. Scroll down a bit further, to the section called Your Sample Ballot. Clicking on it will show what races you are voting in tomorrow.
