Raleigh is the latest city to offer e-bike rebates:
- $500 baseline rebate
- $1,500 rebate for low-income residents
Vouchers will be allocated in a drawing next month. The application period opened today and closes on November 10, 2024. You must be a resident of Raleigh and 18 years or older when you apply.
Raleigh’s e-bike rebate program follows in the footsteps of other states and municipalities that have e-bike rebate programs. As far as we can tell, Raleigh’s rebate program is the first in the state of North Carolina. Last year, 200 residents in Charlotte’s North End neighborhood received free e-bikes as part of a pilot project. In 2022, Durham piloted a project for municipal employees to receive e-bikes for 4+ weeks.
