Two weeks ago, we described our plans to regularly track how many homes in Chapel Hill are available to middle income buyers.

It’s the dead of winter and presumably the market will pick up in the spring, but we continue to have just 1 home for sale for middle income buyer – this week it’s an 850 square foot condo with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths off MLK.

On the other end of the spectrum, two $1,000,000+ homes recently went under contract, leaving buyers with 7 options. The cheapest of these has over 5,500 square feet for a single family (that’s enough room for six 850 square foot condos) on a third acre of land
