The new Planning Director for Chapel Hill is Britany Waddell, AICP, who previously served as the Assistant Director of Planning and Development for the City of Raleigh.
Waddell has almost 20 years of experience working in planning practices and town/gown issues. She has also served as a Community Development Planner for Monroe, NC and Director of Community Relations for George Washington University. She is a graduate of UNC (Ancient/Medieval History!) and has a master’s in urban and regional planning from Georgetown University.
